Now the Backblaze B2 bucket is connected to your NAS with a local cache volume. You can go to File Station in QTS to access it just like a shared folder. You can also use Samba/AFS/NFS protocols to mount the HybridMount space to your Windows/macOS/Linux PCs. Data stored on a QNAP NAS can be backed up to Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage using QNAP’s Hybrid Backup Sync application, which consolidates backup, restoration and synchronization functions into a single QTS application. With the latest releases of QTS and Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS), you can now sync the data on your QNAP NAS to and from Backblaze. Well I have had feedback and yea they do not support Backblaze B2 multi-version backup at the moment. (I kinda figured that.) I am in discussion with one of the QNAP people so hopefully he can give me feedback if they will support this feature in the near future, will keep posted here.

Enabling HybridMount on your QNAP NAS with B2 is easy. We’ll now show you how so you can try it out today and see the benefits yourselves!

First, go to App Center in QTS and install the HybridMountapp. Once the installation is done, open the app and click “Create File CloudGateway.”

Backup Nas To Backblaze

In the popup, select Backblaze, fill in your Key ID andApplication Key, and click “Search” to fetch a list of buckets available tothis key. Select the bucket you’ll be using for HybridMount, and click “Next.”

Select the storage pool you’ll use for creating a cachevolume, and specify the cache volume size. Finally, click “Create” and you’re goodto go!
