Hi, I got the same problems.
I have got a 1 TB external hard drive with NTFS-format, and one with 500 MB
I loaded the following ones, and tryed both in relation to macfuse to be able writing an reading the hard drives with my Mac:
--> tuxerantfs_2010-1.dmg
--> ntfs-3g-2010.1.16-macosx.dmg
What happened was, that my Mac was unable to mount the external hard drive and showed those error messages i loaded up.
I did as I was told in the messages and plugged in the disk at my windows-PC and tried a 'chkdsk'.
The result was, that my Mac again mounted the hard drive and I was able to read files.
Idecidet to uninstall tuxerantfs and ntfs-3g but it didnt work.
I tryed to uninstall them via the Systemmanager and the Terminal too and it seemed as if it worked... BUT it didnt!
I still got errormessages with my secon hard drive which I didnt plugged in to my windows-PC to make a chkdsk - although I uninstalled the programm - macfuse too by the way.
After about 4 hours of big fun I thought to myself: 'Okay, fat32 will handle it!' and Itried to.
The texurantfs kind of 'killed' several functions of the mac Disk-Utility-tool.
There wasnt any longer the format 'fat32' which was there before I installedtexurantfs and ntfs-3g.
This function and others got los. In adition there were other new formats to choose like 'Windows NT Data System (NTFS-3G)' and 'Windows NT Data System (TUxera NTFS)'
>
How can I delete ntfs-3g and TuxeraNTFS completly from my Mac
AND
what do I have to do for repairing my Disk.Utility-Tool?
Please Answer, its just a ***** situation

Hi, I've got the exact same problem and error message as Lefu. Has anyone been able to solve this problem?
I've tried running the chkdsk /f on windows, but it gives a message saying that it's in NTFS format and it's not able to run it because other processs are using the disk. I cannot mount it on my Mac still, presumably because I haven't successfully run the chkdsk. Any help here?

I doesn't look like this software really has any support. Plenty of problems posted here, but not many solutions. I do not see much help for anybody in this forum. I posted a problem up yesterday but it still has yet to be 'approved' by the moderators for posting.

Support for Tuxera NTFS for Mac customers is handled through a dedicated support email address, and not normally through the forum.
Regarding NTFS-3G, its free and open source, and we'll try to answer questions related to NTFS-3G when we have time.
I think we have managed to answer most of the recently posted questions.

Right... there were some minor inconsistencies on the drive. NTFS-3G and Tuxera NTFS for Mac are both very careful about not doing anything that could possibly endanger your data. That is why it requires you to repair your on-disk structures if they seem inconsistent before using your drive with our software.
Idecidet to uninstall tuxerantfs and ntfs-3g but it didnt work.

How did you attempt the uninstall, and what were the error messages when uninstalling?
I tryed to uninstall them via the Systemmanager and the Terminal too and it seemed as if it worked... BUT it didnt!

What commands did you use for uninstalling, and what error messages did they result in?
I still got errormessages with my secon hard drive which I didnt plugged in to my windows-PC to make a chkdsk - although I uninstalled the programm - macfuse too by the way.

NTFS-3G / Tuxera NTFS for Mac certainly does not touch any files related to other filesystem types, so that sounds virtually impossible. Could you give me a list of which file systems you can choose from now?
This function and others got los.

What other functions were that?
In adition there were other new formats to choose like 'Windows NT Data System (NTFS-3G)' and 'Windows NT Data System (TUxera NTFS)'

This is normal, and those are hooks to the formatting utilities installed by NTFS-3G and Tuxera NTFS for Mac, respectively.

what do I have to do for repairing my Disk.Utility-Tool?

As soon as NTFS-3G and Tuxera NTFS for Mac is gone from the system, Disk Utility should be back to normal.
Normally, you uninstall the software from the respective preference panes (System preferences->NTFS-3G and System Preferences->Tuxera NTFS). There's an uninstall button in those that should work.
If that doesn't work for some reason, you can manually clean out the files installed by NTFS-3G by following the instructions in the following thread: http://tuxera.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1271
For Tuxera NTFS for Mac, open up the Terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal) and paste the following command:
sudo rm -rf '/Library/PreferencePanes/Tuxera NTFS.prefPane' /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs_txantfs.fs /Library/Receipts/TuxeraNTFS.pkg /var/db/receipts/com.tuxera.pkg.Tuxera_NTFS.* /sbin/mount_fusefs_txantfs /sbin/newfs_fusefs_txantfs

I hope this helps.
Sorry for the late reply. We've been busy lately. I hope you understand.

What was the output of 'chkdsk'? Even if it doesn't allow you to do chkdsk on a volume currently in use, is normally possible to schedule a chkdsk at boot time.
You can get more help on chkdsk from Microsoft's support network, for instance: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265

Tuxera Ntfs Key

NtfsserialTuxera ntfs for mac invalid product key

You can download the latest Tuxera High Performance NTFS driver zip file from the hyperlink provided and save it on your local system.

  1. In ZENworks Control Center, click Configuration.

  2. In the Management Zone Settings panel, click Device Management > Preboot Services > Third Party NTFS Driver Integration Settings.

  3. Click the icon to browse for and select the high performance NTFS driver zip file.

  4. Click Ok to upload to the ZENworks Server.

  5. Click Status to view the status of content replication across all Primary and Satellite Servers with Imaging role in the management zone. You must start the imaging operation only when the status is Available.

NOTE:

  • An image taken by using the legacy NTFS driver is restored by the legacy NTFS driver. For high performance, these images need to be recreated by using the High Performance NTFS (Tuxera) driver after the driver is uploaded into the ZENworks Control Center and the status is Available.

  • After a successful upload, this NTFS driver, is integrated with the bootcd_tntfs.iso file in the winutils folder. To use the High Performance NTFS driver, use the bootcd_tntfs.iso file instead of the bootcd.iso file.

  • You must upload the Tuxera driver after each ZENworks upgrade.
